Donald Lennard is a Senior Consultant at DeMarche. He serves as the chairperson of the DeMarche Manager Review Committee (MARC) for Alternatives, which previews, monitors, evaluates, and sustains ongoing due diligence for strategies in alternative asset classes. He is also a member of the DeMarche Manager Review Committee (MARC) and the DeMarche Asset Allocation Committee.
Prior to rejoining DeMarche in 2012, Don served as a Senior Investment Officer for Private Markets for the Kansas Public Employees Retirement System (KPERS) where he was responsible for a portfolio exceeding $2 billion in assets. The private capital investments he oversaw and implemented during his tenure contributed to performance that resulted in the American Investment Council recognizing the KPERS portfolio as one of the top 10 pension funds, with the highest private equity returns as of 2019. Mr. Lennard first joined DeMarche in 2000 as the director of DeMarche’s manager research staff. Prior to that, he served in several positions in corporate finance at Sprint, including a director position at Sprint’s Brazilian subsidiary Intelij. He is also an adjunct professor at The University of Saint Mary, teaching courses in finance and operations management.
Mr. Lennard earned his MBA with a concentration in finance from Avila University and his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Truman State University. He holds a FINRA Series 65 Securities license.
