Past Volunteer Service

2021 | Rotary Youth Camp

DeMarche worked at the Kansas City Rotary Club 13’s Youth Camp in Lee’s Summit, Missouri for our annual volunteer service day. We spent a hot but rewarding day helping with maintenance, repairs, and cleanup throughout the camp grounds. DeMarche also donated $1,000 from our Blue Jeans Friday Fund along with an in-kind donation of office furniture for use at the camp. For nearly 100 years, the camp has striven to be the nation’s finest youth camping facility, serving disabled and disadvantaged children and young adults and empowering as many Kansas City-area youth as possible.

2020 | Habitat for Humanity

DeMarche worked at a Habitat for Humanity of Kansas City site installing rough-in blocking in the closets and kitchens and painting house exteriors. Habitat for Humanity helps families in our Kansas City community build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. 729 Families in 16 neighborhoods have been helped by Habitat in 2020 alone, and we are proud to do our part to make sure that our neighbors have decent, affordable shelter.

2019 | Veterans Community Project

DeMarche worked with the Veterans Community Project to help build and furnish houses for homeless veterans. Our volunteers installed ceiling insulation in 16 tiny homes and presented a check for $1,000 from our Blue Jeans Friday Fund. During the holidays, our employees donated new household items including dishes, eating utensils, bathroom towels, bed linens, rugs, and cleaning supplies.
