The DeMarche manager database is a comprehensive bank of information about investment managers. The database is completely proprietary to DeMarche. The firm generates all information about managers. We do not buy data from any source, nor do we sell manager information to any other party. Only DeMarche consultants have access to the database.

Our manager database contains a wide range of organizational information and performance data on hundreds of institutional-quality managers throughout the world. In addition to domestic equity and fixed income managers, DeMarche has a comprehensive database of global and international managers, real estate managers and venture capital managers. Both composite performance data submitted by managers and audited performance data on individual accounts are maintained in the database.

To be considered for a search, managers in our database must first undergo a rigorous 10-phase analysis by our Manager Review Committee. The Committee, which meets weekly, is made up of our senior consultants. The Committee's analysis is based on detailed questionnaires and face-to-face interviews with managers to gain a thorough understanding of the firm and its investment process.

SEARCH PROCESS
Our due diligence work provides powerful information for the actual manager search process, which encompasses three meetings. First, we review the investment guidelines established in the asset mix study and establish the characteristics of the managers to be considered in the search. The next step is the selection of finalists based on a preliminary analysis of performance and compliance with the required characteristics. The last meeting of the process includes presentations by the finalists and the selection of a manager.
